Job Experience

Agricultural
Experience
2017-2020
Volunteered at 2 farming operations in Kneehill County, Alberta, Canada.
They worked together, one was a mix cow/calf operation, the other was strictly a cropping operation. I aided in sorting cattle, transporting cattle to new pastures, baling hay, seeding and harvesting. Along with these a few in field quick fixes tested the strength of my problem solving skills.

2021
While attending Olds College I was presented the opportunity to calve out the herd while participating in a livestock class. During this I actively help a easy and hard pull using the calf jack. I bagged a scours calf when they went down hill, and administered required medications. I aided a cow with mastitis by milking her out and bottle feeding her calf. At 24  hours old all bull calves had castration rings placed, vaccines given, CCIA and RFID ear tags implanted. Doing these at all hours of the night and in extreme weather conditions trialed the cetication to herd health and animal husbandry.
